7.3 Remote Connection (Telephone Modem)
This is applicable when using a dial-up (PSTN direct) connection to the Amber Basic.
1. From the Communications mode drop-down list, select Telephone Modem.
The telephone modem section becomes enabled, and the serial port parameters
change automatically to be displayed as follows:
• The Comm port field becomes disabled and the field value is the
communications port where the modem is connected.
• The Baud rate field displays 300, the baud rate used for telephone modem
connection.
• The Parity and the Stop bits fields do not change and are disabled.
